Anyone here ever visit Brazil?
A long time ago I did.
I went to Manus (sp?) Sao Paulo, Rio and briefly Salvador.
Did you have a specific question?
Hi King Tubbs. Yes I had some specific questions.
1. How was the food?
2. Did you peep any jujutsu or vale tudo fights?
It was good. However being of Caribbean descent I expected a similar amount of pepper and spices and found much of it a bit bland especially in Sao Paulo, Rio was better and had dishes were similar to Caribbean ones.
I dont know those words. I saw some capeiroa (sp?) fights I dont know if thats the same thing as you describe. Thats an acrobatic African influenced form of martial arts but I saw many different races doing it.
I'm going to São Paulo next year to study portuguese. I can't wait! I will tell you about my trip once I am back.
We Live In Brazil
We currently live in Brazil.
Salvador, Bahia to be exact. It's a lovely place with a strong Afro Brazilian culture. This is where Capoeira was invented.
it also has the largest black population outside of Nigeria in the world
the people here look just like the people back home in the hood
Oi, I’m a bit jealous that you live in Salvador, Brazil. Do you Play Capoeira by chance?
I don't but my children do.
