This is soooo cool! With the largest black population outside Africa, Brazil is making "alliances" with 12 African countries. Bully for Brazil! :toast:

This is BRIC. Notice it begins with "Not to be confused with BRICS."

HA! BRIC, Brazil, Russia, India, China, is now BRICS, and "The Big Four" is now "The Big Five!" The "S" on the end stands for "South Africa." :toast:

BRICS, originally "BRIC" before the inclusion of South Africa in 2010, is the title of an association of emerging national economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.[2] With the possible exception of Russia,[3] the BRICS members are all developing or newly industrialised countries, but they are distinguished by their large, fast-growing economies[4] and significant influence on regional and global affairs. As of 2013, the five BRICS countries represent almost 3 billion people, with a combined nominal GDP of US$14.8 trillion,[1] and an estimated US$4 trillion in combined foreign reserves.[5] Presently, South Africa holds the chair of the BRICS group.
