    Bound

I have salted the four corners of my earth and have bathed in holy water from the River Sorrow. I have bound and cast out your scent and declared my home a sanctuary. And yet your specter remains.

And so I wait and wonder, Will the salvation that accompanies everlasting rest send for me, or will my lungs continue to fill with blood-born tears? Either way, I can tread these waters no longer.

Forgive me, because I prejudged you. This was not a poem in a typical sense however it was brilliant and I can relate. What this piece means to me is it represents my past and the river sorrow I was treading in for along time. My past is going to remain my past however its up to me to move through it.
