Here are a few tips on how to boost your immune system

    1. Fasting
Fasting is the most effective way to boost your immune system. The immune system is not activated and does not use any of its specialized cells to rid the body of the substances taken in after a meal. Therefore, those cells are kept in reserve when most needed. It is important to have specialized killer cells in reserve, which can possibly help ward off cancer.

    2. Diet
What you eat plays a major role in the strength and integrity of the immune system. In order to build a healthy immune system, you need to give it the best fuel to do so. A diet that includes mainly organic fruits and vegetables, legumes (beans, lentils), grains (brown rice, sprouted or cracked wheat bread) and organic, antibiotic and hormone-free whole milk, is the proper fuel the body needs to help build a strong, healthy immune system.

You are right on target with number 2 and a healthy diet, but I am skeptical about fasting, because it deprives the body of nutrients, which strengthen the immune system.

Sleep fortified the immune system. Lack of it contributes to increase risk of illness.

Stress also depletes the immune system. Practice relaxation techniques to combat stress.

Your body needs to rest its digestive organs..you have food stored in your body as fat..etc..that you can live off of for a few days...you go into the fast..eating easily digestable..water based foods. Slowly enter the fast..go for 1 day..build your way up. Your body becomes sluggish if you do not detoxify your body..toxins from the overly processed foods in our diets..and from the inhalation of polluted air. It's one of the best things you can do for your body.

I disagree on the fasting, Nisa. Just don't eat processed foods. Hunger is not good for anyone.
