    Music legend Bobby Womack, in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) annouced that he’s been diagnosed with the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. In the interview the 68-year old singer-songwriter said, “The doctor said, ‘You have signs of Alzheimer’s.’ He said it’s not bad yet, but it’s going to get worse.”
    Womack, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009 has been experiencing difficulty remembering the names of his collaborators while performing, in addition to his own song lyrics. ”How can I not remember songs I wrote? That’s frustrating,” Womack admitted...

    Well, if it helps any, by the time it 'gets worse'? He won't have the capacity to be aware of it.
    That's a kind and gentle mercy.

    It's one thing to deteriorate and quite another to be conscious of it.
    Sometimes, ignorance is bliss.
    Here's to hoping that whatever reality he sets up perm. residence in's preferable to what actually exists....
