    Looking out beyond the grave
    I still see chaos
    And tears of a slave
Clawing and scratching to get out of the pit
    Steppin on others
    Just tired of this sh--t!
Freeing himself from the lion’s den
Only to find another hell to fall in
    I sat back and watched
    Suffocating with fear
    I saw the young offspring
    Killed off in a year
    I wanted to scream
    But quiet I remained
    Too many were content
    To live life insane
    The time was drawing near
    The people were turning
Each one to his own kind
    Yet mine were still burning
    I turned to my own
Saw a glare in his eyes
    His spirit was possessed
    By the demon of lies
He led the assault on my children as well
Said he’d lead them to freedom
    But sent them to hell
    Gasping for air
    I started to shout
    But my cries went unheard
And my time had run out
    As they closed my coffin
The Most High spoke strong words
Said u could have done more
    Forget what you heard!
Do you see how quickly one
    Can easily destroy a nation
And how it also takes one
    To change a generation
    Now I rest in peace
Don't know if I deserve too
When blood still spatters on my grave
And I probably could have helped u

Look at the last 20 years of our kids, what about the next 20

To consider what a slave must see, looking at the chaos and hate that still surrounds us today. The truth isn't always pretty, thanks for this poet.
