    Blame

Who sees the hand at work
in the mess made of life and planet?
A man labours in mine or field or lab
    never seeing his work
    connected to the dying face
    upon his television screen.

The gun that shot the helpless victim
just left his shop a month ago:
    should he be held responsible
when he must feed his family?

What do we do with the teen
who used the gun and shot his friend
over a pair of running shoes?

    Whom do we blame now?

Was it the man who made the gun?
Was it the foolish, greedy teen?
    Was it the TV commercial?
Was it the shoe factory in Hong Kong?
Was it just the gun after all?

    There has to be
    someone to blame!
    Someone to jail,
    someone to hang!
    Someone must pay
    or the piper won’t play!

    "someone to pay

or the piper won't play"...all right Poet!

this is why we must each take it upon ourselves to be a committee of 'one'...to be responsible/accountable individuals in our own microcosms (communities, relationships, homes)....never needing to assign"blame"....but ever being part of positive "change"....

what do they say? "each one, teach one" ??

    I likeded this Windwalker

thank you for provoking my thoughts this evening.

I too agree with Ms. A... It takes a village and Americans have given up on that notion. Everyone is so quick to say it's not my responsibility or you can't balme me. If we all took the time to raise our children like our parents raised us and their parents them and tell these politicians to but out then we wouldn't have Columbine's, and "Teens gone Wild". The change starts at home.

Oh yeah Welcome to the house
