I got lint in my hair
And I cry all da' time
    I done ran outta pills
    I done ran outta crimes

I done ran outta sugar, flour, and meat
No bread, no rice, no lights, no heat

Have a little bit of milk
    And an egg or two
    Got a shoestring to tie
    But don't have a shoe

It's this lint in my hair

    Miomina1 ... Hello and Welcome ...

the title of this peace caught my eye ... and then, when i read it ... oh my goodness ... i just laughed and laughed ... and read it again ... and laughed some more ... ohhh gosh ... so nice ... to be able to bring smiles from such misery ... we're so blessed ... thank you for the smiles.

    beautiful poetry

Get the lint out your hair
and dry up all those tears
    stop popping them pills
or it's gonn make you ill

take my card and get you something to eat
boil some water for now to get you some heat

milk is bad for your heart
and those darn eggs is to
and you can trash them there shoestrings
since you ain't got no shoes...

you know...I think it's that lint in your hair

I liked your poem a lot, welcome and thanks for sharing.

    miomina1,
i really enjoyed the way you brought this....
a light look on a heavy subject....
    made me laff and think
    and be thankful
    and merciful....
