Shaft, Harlem Nights, Superfly
Black movies move the world Baby Boy
Cleopatra Jones & Cabin in the sky
Richard Pryor cutting it up in Toys

Black movies move the planet
Runteldat it’s a fact so move back
Zechariah 2:3 Poetic Justice for Janet
Here comes the return of the Mack

I got the hook up for Life fazes
Can I get a Carwash and a song to sing
Dropped out of School Daze
And Love don’t cost a thing

We got the Juice’s reaction
And the Brown Sugar too
Getting A piece of the action
Carmen, I’m in love with you

How to be a Player gets you Fame
The Best man, and He got Game
Two can play that game
And it’s a Low down dirty shame

Black movies move the world
I love black movies
I’m Black movies
And Black movies love you

RIGHT ON, BABY! RIGHT ON!

WONDERFUL ODE TO BLACK CINEMA! :toast:

From the first Black film ever written, directed, cast, produced, through the Blaxploitation Era and to present-day, Black movies have always shown a "slice of life" from OUR lives, through the good, the bad, and the ugly; but they still showed and told about US.

Yes, the White power structure/film industry exploited us; but, for the times, we still got to see Black faces on the Big Screen and through the years, we've evolved so much in front of the camera and behind it.
