    Yeah, but...

Please convert rand to the dollar....154,000 rand is equivalent to how many dollars?

This is about Black consumers which I'm happy to see an increase in their purchasing power BUT...what about Black business ownership. All the American companies setting up camp in South African townships are white owned, am I correct? So with this significant growth in Black consumerism, is the same thing going to happen to them that is happening to AA's...money flowing from the white man through our fingers back into the hands of the white man?

    $24,550.44 per year

I was thinking the same thing. It looks on the surface as if they are following our model, which is not necessarily a good thing.

We need the other half of this story too...

Thanks for the conversion sis. By American standards, $25k annual income isn't a whole lot of money, especially after taxes and other deductions, but it's certainly better than nothing. What is South Africa's GNP? Are these Black Africans spending and not saving? What's the average amount of money in their savings account? Again, are Black South AFricans being mesmerized by all the glitz and glitter? Well, they're about to discover a different type of slave system if they aren't conscious of their spending habits.

Well, NNQueen that's anywhere. A lot of whites can not bare the fact of a black man having a successful business and amost always finds a way to take it over. There are very, very, very few black owned business anywhere. Most black people everywhere have to answer ultimately to a white man.
