    Well....I must say,

Some think we can't be as smart as any doctor, lawyer or anyone with a bachelors' degree, but they didn't know our attitude still stands highly amongst all.

With our intelligence to achieve and succeed, the ability to accomplish and believe, We are as smart as that doctor, lawyer or a person with a bachelors' degree.

    BLACK WOMAN I am.....

Strong and willing to take upon any challenge that will come my way, with or without a man, I must say.
We can be as rich as Michael Jackson himself or as po' as a man on the street, our mind, body and soul still can not be beat.

"I will make it, I can do it, I must try it, I won't be left behind" are the thoughts going through a black woman's mind.
And, yes, even then when our lives starts to feel like:

Yesterday's pain is actually today's strain,
And hope is no where to be found,
Because laughter is buried into the ground,
And when we wished for happiness,
    Instead we was granted sadness,
    Thought about wealth,
At the time of bad health,
    Looking for a brighter day,
    But darkness forces us away,
When frowning became our best friend,
Drowning our emotions with a bottle of gin,

......THAT'S WHEN WE WILL STAND UP WITH PRIDE!

Leaving all our feelings a side. So we can go kick down the doors of adversities,
To all the discriminating universities. We will then go take over the positions of the professors so we can teach the black youth of our ancestors.

So they will know even then black women had knowledge,
Taught to them by geniuses before there was a college.
AND SO TOGETHER WE WILL STAND,
    United hand and hand,
    Uplifting one to another,
Even encouraging a young black brother.

We will do this by strenghtening our faith so we can cope,
With our intangible feelings surrounding our hope.

So, my black sista, can I ask you a question?
Do you really think black women can learn a lesson?
In believing that one day the world will see,
That it takes people like us to stop the barrier reef?

And that one day the world will know,
    That even though,
They may lock-up our strong black men,
And put them down again and again,
There's a mind they will never win,
And it's the mind of a BLACK WOMAN!!

This is what makes us uniquely us, blak men & women.

They say that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger,
With our past in this land, is there any doubt in our strength?
    Definitely not.

    Nice piece.

    Looking 4ward 2 reading more.
