Black Pearl

I couldn’t believe I had it all
And suddenly…one day…I hit a wall

Love lost...tongue tied
Feelings frail…I cried

Wanting you deep in my soul
Emotions running out of control

Fear caused sweat dripping from my brow
Worried my heart beat would stop anytime now

Losing sleep in wondering thought
Many phone calls all for naught

A dull pain comes over my soul
Chaos-laced fate imprinted on my life’s scroll

Then waltzed into my life heavenly peace
My personal hell this woman had to release

She made my insanity sane
And, made my complex world plain

She un-crippled my crippled soul
She took the pieces of me and made me whole

She caressed my heart with her fingertips
She massaged my mind with just one kiss of her lips

To my spirit, she brought me calm
And my body, she kept from harm

She loved my body down to my toes
She eased my nerves and took away my woes

And for this, I’d give her the world
For she is my precious Black Pearl
