My understanding, is that 'sugar daddy' (or called around my way, a "cake daddy") is a term used towards men who buy the lady things and or spend money on her at almost a drop of a dime.

This maybe be slightly of topic (though in the ballpark), I'm surprised that older women who date younger men, would allow themselves to be called "cougars", but when men date younger women, they, we, are simply men.

Actually, when men date younger women we are called 'dogs', 'perverts', 'dirty old men', etc..
