    Black man where you at

    Lost in a maze
    Swallowed by the haze
    Amnesia setting in
    You once was a king
But now you just a fool
    Killing your brethren
    With drugs
    Drive by shootings

    Black man where you at

    Disrespecting queens
    Spilling your seed
    On ground not fertile
    germinate and producing
    Weeds
    That grows wild
No black man to tame them
    Or to train them
    Doomed
    To enter the cycle
    Of generational curses
    Speaking satanic verses

    Black man where you at

Read the writing on the wall
    Reverse course
    Walk towards the light
That dispels the blackness of the soul
    transfigured
    transformed
    restored to the place
    That’s destined for you
    Among the stars
    In the heavens

    Black man where you at

    I Feel You

I feel your concern. It's heavy upon my heart also. This verse says it all in painting the picture of the average young, black male.

    Disrespecting queens
    Spilling your seed
    On ground not fertile
    germinate and producing
    Weeds
    That grows wild
No black man to tame them
    Or to train them

Many daddies are doing their own thang, with no set morals.
The average young male sees this and (age 8 or 9) many times he is being programmed by what he sees or hears. For example, the medium dad uses for "entertainment" in the form of pornographic material such as movie videos and certain forms of rap music.

Your poem does what every poem should do, if it's written to be taken seriously...provoke someone to change for the better or at least...think about it.

    Thanks to all of you!!!

I feel that we need to take our proper role, and emerge from the streotype that society has placed us in, and we have accepted.

Black Men must learn how to be true Black men for the true black men were rulers!! They were servants of the most high!!! they stood for something!! We fail to see the guiding light even though it's right in front of us....

    thank you Bishop!

thank you for displaying true manhood with the spirit of love 1st. many can complain about the issues and problems but it takes a true believer of the True God, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to step forth in faith and consider the whole matter.

I give you much respect first as a human being and as a black brotha that wants to see his brothers come up and not just sit back and criticize but and truly desire a change....

Please feel free to read my column that is published monthly. my 1st column will be posted in May 2003 on soulsistasunite.com the title is "Competition! The Black Woman's Cancer! feel free to visit the site.

    PS, its not in vain!

    peace in Christ beyond Omega!
