Tired as you want to be but what do you do?
Grown man sitting around the house with nothing to show, he has no excuse
Watching Jerry Springer and Jenny Jones all day
While his wife works so they’ll have a place to stay
When she comes home, he heads out
Not a “hey baby how was your day”, no not a word out of his mouth
Hanging on the corner with his boys
A grown man playing games with his toys
Watching the young girls go by trying to run his mack
Or selling his pharmaceuticals products on the street, killing his people with crack
You say white man won’t let you rise
The reasons for your failures you refuse to recognize
    You don’t want to work
    Your responsibilities you shirk
Wife at home just can’t understand
How she married a boy instead of a man
Caring for the kids, while you do your thing
Continually listening to the same sad song you sing
    “Baby, I’m gonna do right”
    “Let’s not fight”
A kiss to her cheek, and you want to make love that night
But in her mind its just sex
The love she has for you she will soon forget
Out of habit she stays with you
Until one day she decides she is through
Now you blame her for your life being a mess
Yet the true culprit refuses to confess
Black man what happened to the king you used to be?
Had a dream, made a stand, connected with destiny
Yet now you are just sad
    Makes me mad
To see one of my brothers
Forget the legacy of his color
No longer walk in the mold of what you were created to be
You now walk in the darkness of selfishness and complacency
****** is what they called you, and ****** is what you’ve become
I wonder Black man do you even have the desire to overcome?

nuff respect bishop the words needed to be said its just a shame that so many brothers are so confused that they cant see what they've become and that a desire for change can go a long way...keep bringin the truth thru your words...:teach: :teach: :teach:
