have you ever wondered why the most copied culture is the most hated?
    the most laughed at?
    the most degraded?
    it seems so simple
    yet so complicated
    how we are so equal
    yet still mentally segregated
the black identity seems so jaded
    our individuality has now faded
white men want to act like black men
so now the black man is shaded
for centuries they have stolen our style
and tried as their own to claim it
from our dancing, our dress, music, and our speech
    any and everything
    just you name it
thinking that blacks should be happy
saying "Hell we signed the emancipation"
to their face i will scream
"i want my forty acres and a mule"
i still haven't forgotten about my reparations"
they tan their skin and call it a trend
they braid their hair and say, "hey it's what's in"
coming in my hood and try to make a new black friend
thinking this is a way to make amends
for me there is no apology
no i was not a part of slavery
but the aftermath has affected me
they keep telling us that we should get over it
    i tell them i will
when i stop getting treated like ****
when i am looked at as an american
    next as a woman
    then as black
then everything i have said, yeah i will take back
but until i can be treated as equal
with my beliefs, i will stand tall
if it is all for one and one for all
    this country is doomed
    and divided we shall fall

This was wonderfully posed, the words definitely hit the bullseye. Why are we treated this way, same reason the brilliant eccentric is treated as he/she is, we're extraordinarily gifted.
