Guests: panelists from a debate entitled “Black Left in the 21st Century: Which Way Forward: Race First, Class Struggle, Both?” which occurred on Sunday, January 26 at Sankofa Video, Books & Cafe--Dr. Mjiba Friehwot of the All-African People’s Revolutionary Party; Mr. Eugene Puryear, of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, an organizer with the ANSWER coalition and author of Shackled and Chained: Mass Incarceration in Capitalist America; Dr. Iyelli Ichile, Assistant Professor at Temple University’s African American Studies Department, author of “Sister Warrior: Akan Women in Organized Resistance to Slavery”; and Mr. Latif Tarik, Howard University Doctoral Student (African Diaspora History/Public History/African Studies), Community Activist and author of Manifesto of A Black Man-Black Nationalism.
