I signed up for the local 597 pipe fitters local out of Chicago when I was laid off from the sheetmetal workers.
1800 signed up.
Less then 30 aa's applied.
When federal money is in construction jobs there are measures in place to ensure minority work.
I have seen countless...countless times higher performing whites getting laid off because they need minority hours on the job. I am a foreman on a job right now and I have a black man working for me and the only reason he has a job is his skin color.
Timely and a hard worker...just doesn't have the skills.
Lastly..his union card was given to him for one reason...skin color. Local 73 did not have any other black members seeking employment and for that reason even though white members who have paid there dues by serving a 5 year apprenticeship program remained unemployed while local 73 gave inexperienced non Union black workers cards and put them to work.
This is back door reparations designed to balance the blatant racism that caused it. Deal with it.
I have seen countless times minority workers use the fact that they "have to "'be included on the jobs factor into their work etchic.
You don't balance racism with more racism.
Where, or what, is the "more racism" factor.
I see higher performing whites get laid off before underperforming blacks all the time.
That's a bunch of BS Blacks have to be twice as good to get a job that mediocre whites get day in and day out. Blacks get less pay than whites in the same position. So if the tables are turning it is about time. I could care less if whites are feeling some kind of way. Again deal with it.
Whites are under performers by nature. Because they are employed due to the color of their skin, there is no incentive to improve their performance.
I not only see under performing whites all the time, they're also given jobs that belong to over achieving, intelligent, college educated Blacks. Whites students drop out of high school knowing their skin color gives them privilege to get a job.
White Gov. Scott Walker intends to campaign for president and doesn't even have a college degree. There are a few white senators who have no college degree.
It's not uncommon to see what one wants to see.
Bad enough the piece is embedded and worse if the author is just advancing another self serving agenda etc.
Though such reflects the Orwellian like means to other folks ends too...
I just presented the piece to generate new takes on what aills me and mine/you and yours...
And, I welcome all feedback, since it's not just up to me to uplift the race, etc.
