    Your History
    My History
    Our History

    Slavery
    My People dying
    for a change
    Your history
    My History
    Our History
    Cannot be re-arranged
    by 2005

    No one knows what it
    took just to stay alive
trying to survive in a world
    being victimized for
    the color of your skin

    Without reason or why
    so many had to die
but 2005 just let it fade
    This is a new day
Never mind the pain or suffering
    endured through their eyes

    The Lynching, beatings, rapes
    demeaning to their very souls
cause no one want to take
    responsibility for the lack of
    tranquility they endured
    Go Ahead

    Bury it under foggy cloudy
    minds resisting the Truth
    of Neglect and Abuse
    all because It's a New
    day
    Your History
    My History
    Our History
    No Matter How much they
    try to justify
    It will always remain
    even in 2005
    A Unjustifiable stain
    for all times
    Your History
    My History
    Our History

Thank you Info-metry and Rich for commenting on this poem. Not meant to
offend or appear racial. I saw this commerical on TV and flowed off it.
I am thrilled how we can all come together as a people in Unity but
Let's give props to the ones who sacrificed life and limb to make it
happen. I am into Black History in a big way. I am grateful and proud of
our Ancestors who endured so much that we may be where we are today.
    They are truly our Heroes.
