No Eye did not take his words and did a search of the internet and found out that DARPA (as you say a gubment agency) is FUNDING HAARP!So I was correct. He wasn't saying HAARP's new name is DARPA but rather that DARPA is funding HAARP. Actually, that's still wrong. If he's trying to say DARPA is funding weather modification... that would also be incorrect. It's not insane to believe DARPA is funding weather/climate-related projects. Why is this important? As I said before, DARPA often funds projects beneficial to society, but for them to use their military budget they have to be able to exploit the technology for defense. There's really no point in trying to vilify DARPA as trying to create some weather super weapon. Whatever Dane found as far as DARPA's financial involvement was probably back in 2007 and is, as such, outdated. Since then, the facility has struggled financially and that's part of the reason why the military pulled out and it was turned over to the University of Alaska.

Furthermore, as I discussed at length with @frankster , HAARP never had the capabilities to do what conspiracy theorists were claiming it could do. I went over many points, such as how the transmitters are not parabolic dishes and therefore cannot "aim". You cannot have a "superweapon" that you can't aim. That's like having a bazooka that is locked in one direction. Worse... a bazooka could at least be mounted to a vehicle. HAARP is locked in place. I also discussed the power requirements and how the signals work and probably wasted a lot of time. But again... here is the

HAARP is currently only being kept alive by the National Science Foundation which is... you may have guessed... not DARPA. Unlike DARPA, NSF wouldn't fund based on the project's usefulness to the military.
Again... the whole thing is a failed fearmongering campaign of conspiracy theorists. If it was a weapon of any sort, the government would have never stopped funding it, would have destroyed it to keep it from the wrong hands if need be, would have created a military base around it, would restrict access to top level security clearance, would completely eliminate flights anywhere near it, would have used parabolic dish arrays, etc. not turn it over to a university that allows tours. That's ridiculous. It is far more fair to say that DARPA funds military technology in general. But to say "weather modification" is simply just trying to explain away why Dane supported and propagated the HAARP conspiracy theory in the first place. Now that the conspiracy theory has fallen flat on its face, now people are trying to save face.
You are right to be suspicious of the government. They do, in fact, have military technology that is at least 10-15 years ahead of anything we're allowed to see. A lot of people know this. However, again, my problem is with someone else manipulating your suspicions in order to gain your loyalty and money. DARPA is not a conspiracy. It is literally their job to fund weapons technologies. But to accuse them of trying to weaponize weather is simply an attempt to save face because HAARP never was what they thought and claimed it was. But the idea that the government is so secretive but lets everyone see tons of images of the HAARP facility when it will not show Area 51... like how do you even buy into this?
