Black ... women who never walk their soles/souls flat
high flying black women who dance on stars leaving
high hopes laying across the evening sky
pot belly breast black women with bold strides
    pelvic thrust talkin' black women
fleshy hips, noisy grinnin' black women
that let their hair down at dusk
and wake up talkin' with the Lord at dawn...
who sow gifts that will always be reaped black women,
yes, those strong armed, soft touch black women
men would rather lapse into death than to lose,
    black women who never cry

Black ... women who never walk their soles/souls flat
hand clappin', gospel hymn singin', old crow's
    feet black women...
    black women with toothless smiles
eyeing sweet potatoes, peeling to sound
rhythm & blues music bean snappin'
    collard green cookin' black women
flowing from the springs of midwestern cess pools
    flowered black women who hold
men's hearts wrapped tightly around their finger...
Black women who never walk their soles/souls flat

    Queens. Legends.

    Black women who never cry.

    nothing like a...

    BLACK WOMAN...

to make you laugh and smile
    even cry, awhile
    in dawns early light
or the middle of the night

    to make you feel secure
    in a love that's pure
    no hidden agendas
lying deep in the middle of her

to make you 'preciate what love
was meant to be when GOD thought of
    this woman and man thing
this is what a Black Woman brings

    ...to the table.

    BEAUTIFUL TREASURES.

...thank you brotha, for this dance....

Ours is just a short list of words to recognize and re-affirm our black women, there are still more words to uncover.

    Thanks for the read!
