got a poem for you
it's call Black History Month

oh I'm sorry
the new campaign
says it's Black Future Month

how can we move forward
if we keep living in the past

as history repeats itself and
the gun shots blast

the blue collared policeman
who pulled me over today
can kiss my black ***

racial profiling forgot to
turn on the headlights

didn't get a traffic ticket
so i guess i'm alright

but i have to wonder
would he have pulled me
over if I was white?

cruising through a neighborhood
which is predominantly white

the Bob O'Reily factor and his
benefactors of white collar
corporate criminals are no better
than the drug dealers and street
hustlers in black neighborhoods

or these so-called "gangsta" rappers
like Ludacris who he swears isn't
anything above being a bad adapter

yet the Osbournes are better suited
than this guy he has to be the biggest actor

who is he fooling certainly not me
as I close another chapter

until equality is achieved I won't even bother
giving a second look

to allow what is called Black History Month
to be placed in our archives of lost and found books
