    (CONTINUED FROM PART ONE)

In continuation: Now that we see that man is supposedly and divinely ordained by God himself to RULE OVER WOMAN, let us now explore how far this is actually taken.

If we read Leviticus 12:1-5 we will see that a woman is declared UNCLEAN for a longer period of time if she gives birth to a female child than a male child.

In chaper 31 of Numbers, an account is given concerning the children of Israel making war against the Midianites.

Starting with verse 15-17 it states the following: "And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive? Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit tresspass against the Lord in a matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord.

Now therefore, kill every male AMONG THE LITTLE ONES AND KILL EVERY WOMAN THAT HATH KNOWN MAN BY LYING WITH HIM, BUT ALL THE WOMEN CHILDREN THAT HAVE NOT KNOWN MAN BY LYING WITH HIM, KEEP ALIVE FOR YOURSELVES !

(QUESTION: I wonder what the test was to determine which women and little girls had slept with a man or not ? Furthermore, when did God ordaine his so called Prophets to get involved in the molestation of little girls?)

In Deuteronomy 22:20-21 we find that a woman is to be stoned to death if she isn't a virgin, but no such law like that exist for the man.

The inferior status of women is reflected in the teachings of Paul in 1st. Corinthians 11:3 whereby he states that "the head of every man is Christ and that the head of every woman is man." To further add insult to injury, we find in 11:7 that "MAN IS THE GLORY OF GOD, BUT WOMAN IS THE GLORY OF MAN".

( SO WE SEE ACCORDING TO THE MAN WRITTEN SCRIPTURES THAT GOD HAS NO GLORY IN A WOMAN...WE ALSO SEE THAT CHRIST IS THE HEAD OF EVERY MAN BUT THAT MAN IS HER HEAD. MAKES ME WONDER HOW SHE'S EVER GOING TO MAKE IT TO HEAVEN, UNLESS SHE DOES IT THROUGH A MAN, HUH?)

1st. Peter 3:1 reinforces this by telling the woman to BE IN SUBJECTION TO YOUR HUSBANDS.

Thus from Genesis to Revelations, the subjection of woman is described and enforced. She begins her existence as an afterthought and continues her career in the Bible as a subordinate. In the Bible every power and privilege belongs to the man. The preisthood, whether Jewish, Christian or Islamic belongs to the male.

Ancient Egypt, Babylonia, Greece and Rome had its Priestesses, but Judaism, Christianity and Islam have none. Woman of course could not be ignored, but she could be suppressed, oppressed and repressed through the religious institutions and religions as layed down and written by men.

Very good post. The Bible, especially the Old Testament, does promote sexism against women.

Keita, bwoy you hit the nail on the head!

I'm reading deutoronomy at the moment and l'm practically screaming!!!

Like Deut. 21 vs 10 where it talks about killing an enemy and capturing his wife as his own. Helllooooo................doesnt the woman have a say?? WTF????? I'd kill his *** for killing my husband, much less just being complacent and becoming his wife!!!!

But yes, there is definitely an anti-female attitude in the bible. No wonder l dont wanna be a part of this whole religion thing anymore.

I asked a guy in the church where l used to go why is it that l dont see any female leaders within the church and his response was, ' Apostle Paul said that no woman shall rule over a man'. I was like :jawdrop:
