In the midst of what we go through we need your guidance & love,
that only you can shed on us from above.
The love that transcends that of man,
for only you can forgive, yes only you can.
Forgive the sins of your people today,
as we listen to what the newspapers have to say.
Baby found in dumpster, bag over his head,
    mother nowhere in sight,
    Hopng he's found dead.
Brothers selling crack on the street,
killing each other over pettiness, even as we speak.
women selling their bodies or giving men a blow,
your love for them they don't even know.
we dogging each other out trying to get a thrill,
can't recognize real love anymore what's the deal?
Why can't we go back to the old landmark,
where values stood for somethings. and we weren't always wandering in the dark.
For back then we respected your Word & found it to be true,
but now it seems we have forgotten you.
But yet you are there with arms open wide
telling us to return, and in you we can abide.
So this is my prayer today, a supplication unto thee,
look on us mighty God our paths you lead.

You are right,Bishop, all to true to. I understand this. I was just watching jenny jones the other day and they had some people who said they had talent and they bragged that people would like them and relatives and friends brought them on the show to say that their nuts and don't have talent and the people got up on stage and just embarrased themselves. Althougth it was histerically funny,I felt sorry for them because they wanted to be somebody else. I was just telling the Lord to save us from ourselves! Cuz I see people like that who just need to be saved from themselves period. So thank you for that scribe. I liked this one.

    Bishop,

    Wonderful! In times like these
    "the prayer of righteous main . . . "
    is needed.

every man should have a prayer
a prayer not for self alone
for no man is an island
but a simple prayer to let God know
    that you see that
all is not what it is suppose to be
but that we know if we trust
and pray you will control our
    destiny
    Amen
