~~LIFE I did not understand
Never thought a simple shake of the hand
Could be so grand
Until I gave birth...

~~Casual conversations no longer seem casual
Carpe Diem a more appropriate motto
No longer look past my brother on the street
Encouraged to be a part of the cycle
Gave my eternal contribution to the world
The intensity of unconditional love
so hard to truly understand
Until his Father held my hand
as I gave birth...

~~Such a perfect creation
from an imperfect creature
The ability to produce life
that's my best feature...

~~A purple sunset
An autumn breeze
Hot chocolate in the winter
Fresh baked cookies
My first kiss
A roller coaster ride
My biggest wish
They all fell to the wayside
when I gave birth...
