I think some colored girls let the women's liberation movement, a white woman's thing, get to them. A lot of them supported Hilary Clinton over Barack Obama in 2008!

It wasn't a "dismal debut." The white owners of the black oriented website known as thegriot.com are doing their part to sabotage a movie they don't black people to see by publishing misleading articles like this. It met analysts' expectations of $7 - 9 million at the box office in the opening weekend, and that should be considered in light of the fact that many movie theaters in Florida that would have shown the movie were closed because of the weather.

It's not just the sistas. know some dudes who said they weren't going to support the movie based SOLELY on the rape accusation, in spite of the fact that he was found not guilty.

It should have been three times that. And the closing of east coast movie theaters didn't affect other top movies

Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios Inc., one of the largest independent producers and distributors of first-run syndicated television programming for broadcast television stations, has acquired the New York-based digital news platform TheGrio. Formerly an NBC News website, TheGrio focuses on news and social media for African-Americans.

“We are excited to have TheGrio join Byron Allen’s ever-expanding Entertainment Studios media empire,” says David A. Wilson, Co-Founder and Executive Editor of TheGrio. “Byron shares our vision of growing TheGrio into the leading video content creator and distribution platform for African-Americans.

We look forward to developing the next iteration of TheGrio, and the fact that it will remain 100 percent African American-owned is very significant.”
