The short Palast article is worth a read.
From their perspective I don't think legality is the point because the action is sure to lose in the court system; but by then the election will be long over and there ain't no court in the land that'll throw it all out and make them do it all over again. The courts will just say 'no you can't do that any more (ahem maybe)'.
And wandering into election law that admitily I know little about, I don't think the federal would play into it because this is at its base a state election so it has to go through Georgia's state court system and then perhaps to the federal level. But I could be wrong.
The idea is that in the interim the reactionary white nationalists win their senate seats. Legality be damned.
I know Palast is an old muckraker but the article is worth a read.
Ya know any one in Georgia? Tell them to make sure they're registered to vote before they cast a ballot.
