Sunlight on my eyelids
and coarse grass between my fingers as my arms lay by my sides
warming the grass below
as the suns' submission shows to the night
shade from the orange tree cools my legs
faint breezes blow over my lips
and through my blouse
that makes me shiver catching a chill
time stands still
as i slip into light from darkness from
what i feel is real
as i see nothing
and hear nothing
beginning to feel my soul
bare without distraction
i am
light like a feather
whimsical a mystic beauty
mesmerizing minds
elevating
out of sight
leaving desire
to behold
one last glance
of more
than what meets
the eye
to fulfill
a haunting hunger
passionate
heavy
like thunder
bringing peace
deep sleep
in rest
a gift of solace.
Opening my eyes i rise still feeling high
and stroll home
in sunset's warm breezes
craving my night cup of tea
as i admire the stars in the sky.
