Who betrays as I creep
as I creep the shadows of the world
life surrounds me and escapes me
betrayal leaps, creeps, curls
my thoughts are not my own
slip slide
deep down
through the caverns of the world
dark and murky through life’s underbrush
catacombs of hate and terror provide a safe passage
where lies and distorted truth is born and breed
who betrays as I creep
as I creep by the dark shadows
the dark corners and abandon buildings which were once souls
stores that were friendly and homey are not drug dens cover-ups
deep deep inside is not longer a secret
the outside looks like the inside
the inside looks like the outside
who betrays as I run through
run through the streets that are empty yet filled
filled with people who are numb and mindless
streets bustling
bustling with death, disease, sickness and pain
who betrays as I creep
when I strive, spit, struggle to break free
I want to no longer creep
I want to walk
and no longer crawl
and no longer stumble and fall
who betrays but me
my own mind body and soul
who betrays as I creep
