List a known or not so well known male vocalist which you think does it good, great or best.
    Past, Present, or even Future.

    Rate them on a scale of 1 - 20
(1 being good, 20 being best)

Will start off with one that many may be familiar with...

    Cedric "K-Ci" Hailey

Mary will be on the female list, don't worry

    Rating: 18

Am I supposed to rate "K-Ci" Hailey, or submit another guy to rate?

Interesting question, didn't even think about that

I'd say rate them, and then post one. We can continue in that pattern

    IE...

K-Ci - My (yours) Rating: XY

Then post a clip of another artist with your rating as well, then the next poster to add another artist follows this pattern and rates the artist previously presented, and adds another, etc.

Anyone can rate any artist(s) already added, and then we can eventually discuss the ratings when many of them are listed and rated.

Also, live performances are preferable, but not mandatory and restricted to such.
Studio voices vs live voices are sometimes different.

    Stevie Wonder

The number of couples that got married to this song alone speaks for itself

    Rating: 19

    Brian McKnight

Made a mistake when I posted somewhere that he was a blend between James Ingram and Stevie Wonder, it is more like a blend between Michael McDonald and Stevie Wonder, heavier towards McDonald.

I am struggling with the ratings.. But, because I think Al is the best so far, I'd give him 19. LOL
I'll come back and rate the others later, when I figure it all out.

    *smile*

    This one would be confusing

Easy listening is a category that really doesn't go into stellar vocal accentuation.
    For example, Bobby Caldwell.

So to see if I can assist with better clarity of ratings, follow this scheme

    Usher Raymond

Like we would say, he can sing, but can he sang?
I would give this to Usher

    Rating: 15

Compare to a Tank or Tyrese

    Tank

    Rating: 17

    Tyrese

    Rating: 18

Notice the progression in the "IT" factor?

With this scheme, I'd give Al a rating of 15 and Bobby a rating of 12.
But if we did just easy listening vocalists, it would probably be a different scaling.

Here is a more extensive rating breakdown

1 - shouldn't be posted (sounds ok, but may be a 1 hit wonder)
5 - would be: good (average but can sing)
10 - would be: better than good (great)
15 - would be: talented (potentially stellar voice, but missing the IT)
20 - would be: extraordinary (has the IT)

    Hope this helps some
