    Belated moments

    On precipice with no escape,
Tempted with peace to jump and embrace fate,
Late and waiting to sprout wings,
My balance is thrown by the wind,
And trying to grab immaterial things,
Pursue stability for a solitary king,
    Paradox’s thrown in my path,
Riddle me this as I bleed who laughs,
Simplicity lost as I attempt to graph,
    Perfect pictures in my mind,
But to break from perfection is dying,
Against the tide reversing a lifetime a lying,
But the program is perfect so I’m trying,

Maybe in vain and I’m the exception,
    We’re the exception,
    God’s children of rejection,
Did we leave by choice or god’s direction?
    I didn’t choose, fvck ya’ll I want redemption,
An exemption from this living pain,
Ghetto living got me in content with small gains,
I chase the moment but my habit refrains,
It’s over already, I look around shlt is same,
Death again for me it seems its part of my name,
Draining me of ever will I got fight,

Then I’m reborn with vitality at fist light,
Got the spirit to clash with the reaper and take flight,
In spite of my missing pair of wings,
Rinse, repeat yet to life I still cling,
Fruits a seeming eternity to bring,
Waiting to ripen while my mouth salivates,
Over gardening can seal the gate,
Forcing details to be refined and straight,
Could be forcing this unbearable state,
I wanna ask is there ever escape?
Am I after only what my mind can create?
Today burns so I pray tomorrow is great,
Tomorrow I live in because today I hate,
Slow to contentment in prison living,
    You neither in accepting misgiving,
    My journeys beginning is past,
Behind me the end of the tunnel is black,
In front of me is akin to the back,
Burning got me forward in track,

Despite being blind to the facts,
Maybe what lies ahead is my dreams in gauge,
Or it’s perhaps more fire and rage,
    Regardless I’m chasing the moment,
My journey’s lessons got me seeking to hold it,
I’m a colas of broken beliefs,
In need of faith to become god and never cease,
So the tunnel turns into a lush green forest,
Rays of sunlight piercing the Foliage,
Where the day and the dream are inseparable,
And the precious moment becomes eternity.

One has to wonder if there is indeed an escape, even if it's only within our own minds. Your rhyme scheme, images, and the state of mind you bring us into...awesome. Much enjoyed poet!!!
