....and l lay on my bed of rest awaiting life set for me....

and if l'm blessed to have children and a wife next to me
l will teach my seeds to go ahead of me
leaving behind an infinite legacy to bring what is heavenly
to earth..
l will wipe the tears of my wife who has taken away
many fears of my life knowing that...
only my last prayer will give her strength..

visualizing a sweet, last breath release
with the image of me making peace
with my foes
and then reflecting on my youth when i rended my clothes
overwhelmed by life's woes, feeling kind of joyful with tears and a smile on my face
for that's when l began see my God's face and feel his mercy and grace...

set provisions for my daughter...
l learned this by the absenceof my father
but even he would have known the God l learned to trust..
l found trust under a rock
when it began to mold and rust when he was not there to teach me love from lust and that is why my conviction for
her is so strong...
for l have played women so wrong
and l had not known true love for so long but now that l do...
"lf he does not love God, he can not love you."
may wisdom be his diamonds and pearls she wears
and desires for after my life here expires....
may she have my strength and will to twirl in this cruel dog-eat-dog whirld and protect her from
those who play and do not pray...
for even if she fell, ln my eyes she will see her first step and rise to the occasion and forget about her abrasion...

for now

and at last l begin to see
that l let people things and places hinder me
and swayed me from much of my purpose...
and it all proved worthless
and perhaps l could have done more in God's service but
l feel at peace for l have done his will as l leave this race
for world to run...

what was left undone l will leave to the Son

what was left undone l will leave to the Son
