Northeast
A few violets bloom and scatter
even amongst the weeds
Surroundings didn't matter
God already planted the seeds
I ponder this and hope that you
can feel my smile, and see
those blossoms as I do
the beauty there is key
True beauty shines through
it sustains and maintains
throughout any storm
keeps us safe within the truth
and that truth keeps us warm
Like the words "I Love You"
from the one you love so dear
those three words create a musical
rhapsody for any ear to hear
Or a child's precious smile
bubbling over with pure joy
it's that kind of sheer happiness that our
"Scrooge-like" tendencies can't destroy
So much of life can leave us jaded
that sometimes we need to be persuaded
to allow ourselves to see
there's so much beauty in the world
and it begins within you and me....
