Flows from soul smooth like silk
In the late night hour
having cookies and milk
feelin the vibe
of all the worlds ill
I chill
War ravaged countries
Displacement of people
Bad Economy
Emptying of Morale
I sit Reflecting
upon the work of the day
from the 9to5
keeping the children
alive and well…
Strengthening family
Understanding how deep love is
Making sure moms know I love her
I’m sure she Misses pops
For the Heavens keep Him
And all those who have gone on before
Feeling close Yet so far away
Connecting people from all places
no faces just the essence of them
I feel thru words prosed
As full a Bloomed rose
touch the soul
and kiss the sky
shedding tears
riding emotions as
the wave a New Year brings
The pain
the struggle
the losses
the gains
the growth
the joy
of life’s journey
I’ll take delight
places where the
light burns bright
Searching
for those wind chimes
of life Guiding our paths
continually Studying Ourselves
With grace and dignity
Reflect
Correct
Enjoy
In the New…

This piece made me think of concentrating on what's important. Great to read you again, and have a Happy New Year yourself brother.

...there will be much reflection done this weekend...as we move into another year. hoping for change. praying things won't be the same. looking inward...to see what we can do. appreciating those close to us...those whose lives we've touched...those who've touched us. day to day find us looking heavenward, from bended knees, praying for a better day than yesterday...yet, knowing that these are the last days...and, it's going to be that way.

The good & bad...

Most reflection comes at the end of life, how wonderful that
you have written the most important gifts that life brings when
we think of the how short a life span really is and how quickly it
passes by. When we don't reflect we lose out on the most basic
of the human experiences....
