    When people are
    d
    o
    w
    n
    On me,
    belittling and
    'DISS'couraging I...
    think about my FATHER
    who died for ME
    h
    u
    n
    g
    By nails left to
    die on the cross,
    YET
    3 days later
    He rose
    .......He Rose
    ................HE ROSE!!!
    So, know too that I
    Shall RISE!!

    riSEUP against
    negativity
    loosed from those who
    'DISS'pise ME
    God says

    Be Encouraged NOT 'DISS'couraged

    by...
    hecklers
    disrespectors
    intruders
    poetic abusers
    false accusers
    sisters/brothers
    uncles/cousins
    aunts/mothers
    and fathers
    Oh, let's not forget
    'friends'
    I mean 'haters' and
    wanna be 'players'

    Recently touched by
    Universally
    diverse
    poetic scribes
    creating these poetic
    spiritual vibes
    SPEAKING to ME through
    my SOUL...

    Be Encouraged NOT 'DISS'couraged

    My daily bread said...
Although it seems as if God allows circumstances in our lives that are harming and without sense or plan, these "waves" of trial are intended to bring us nearer to HIM; to Encourage us to
"Set our minds on things above, not on things of the earth"
    Col 3:2
Like Ripples on the Pond, God uses waves of trial to draw us nearer to HIM.

    External pain
    dismay
    displays
    Internal pain
    hidden in your
    hardened heart

    To you I say

    Be Encouraged NOT 'DISS'couraged

    Not here to
    mock or
    ridicule
    want to show
    YOU my love is
    poetic
    prophetic and
    True
    your comments
    derogatory but...
    would you open up
    allow me to
    hear your story YOUR...
    personal testimony
    I...
    want to
    need to
    desire to
    Am REQUIRED to...

    Encourage NOT 'DISS'courage

    there is a woman
    who BLESSED ME...
    Encouraged me after her
    2nd appearance at
    open mike poetry

    When in her presence I
    feel her spirit...
    a spirit that's
    motherly
    Godly
    nurturing

    Encouraging NOT 'DISS'couraging

    see...it was SHE,
this woman who inspired me to
    compose this piece
    giving me

    PEACE
    OF
    MIND.

    A piece full of...

...peace of mind. That 'serene mode' is, definitely, going around. Absolutely, deep, sis; beyond extent... :)

    poets

Two Saturdays ago at an open mike poetry session, we were disrupted by patrons of the bar (where the sessions are held~~we share the space) Anyway, as I and other poets shared, the men made rude comments, talked over us, and were basically obnoxious. This woman approached me after the session ended and told me that something in her spirit gave her the idea that I was to write something around the words "be encouraged not discouraged". Said she could see the 'discouragement' in my face as I tried to read and obtain the attention of the crowd. With that in mind I was "instructed" to read this poem as my opener whenever I read at an open-mike or poetry slam. I didn't know this woman from adam and she blessed me. Just proof that God loves me enough to use whomever necessary to TOUCH ME SPIRITUALLY.

What an incredible feelin this is!!!:)
