I just returned home after attending a BB King concert. It was his 80th birthday celebration tour and it was absolutely outstanding. The man's talent is legendary and I wanted to share one moment with him on a personal level (not just television), before he passed on. I never got to see Lou Rawls and Tina Turner before she retired. Had the opportunity, but never took advantage of them. I didn't want that to happen with one of my all-time favorite musicians...BB King...and he didn't disappoint me.

If any of you like the man and his music (talk about some serious blues) and have the opportunity to see him, I encourage you to take advantage of it because you may not get the chance again.

Aaahhhh.. Brother Rich!! You have just named some more of my favorites, especially ETTA JAMES. When she sings "At Last" and "When A Woman Bleeds", in that husky voice of hers...man, today they talk about these "Divas" that can sing....these younger women are talented, don't get me wrong...but I grew up listening to women like Della Reese, Etta, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, Nancy Wilson...those women paved the way and invented the title "diva" in my book. :)

Thanks for creating some fond memories.
