To get to level two:

Leave everything else behind:
What a man should do, be, or have,
What a woman should do, be, or have,
Who might be watching,
What y'all might do in any given circumstance,
How to react.

Particularly,
What your every other relationship
has been up until that point.

Leave all that outside.
All of that was level one stuff:
Leave it there.

At level two:

Bring yourself (mistakes and all.)
Bring a mate that has a consciousness
similar to your own.

Bring a desire to be in a relationship
for real and for good.

Bring honesty , courage, consideration,
trust, friendship, humor,
and more honesty.

Bring time. (And if the relationship is going to last,
you have time.)

Learn to wait.

Decide to catch the real lesson of relationships:
not martyrhood and sacrifice,
but understanding and compromise.

By the time you learn that
its not about lovers and passion,
but companions and compassion....

It might just be time for level three.
