B cuz
That's why
A simplistic, albeit flippant answer
to questions that have nary a logical reply
B...cuz
When we've searched high and low
racking every brain cell
Coming up empty, sans the lost marbles found
Quite insane, as we sigh and say, "Oh well..."
B cuz, that's all
Asking others to aid in this conundrum
renders at best a blank stare
Figuring, surely someone has some sage advice
that they're willing to expound upon, and share
But they've no doubt also revisited their minds
only to find, that the answers don't live there
Lost in the midst
B cuz
Tragedies exist
B cuz
Golden opportunities missed
B cuz
Fates must of gotten pissed
B cuz
Some questions almost beg to be answered
Oh please, pretty please, can we solve this mystery?
The knowing would offer benefits
Even if we can't rewrite history
Knowing would at least bring
the benefit of some semblance of ease
the faintest glimmer of light illuminates
when we're in the dark on our knees
School of hard knocks
can knock logic on it's *** instantly
And what could've or should've been
Sadly, isn't always meant to be
To pose questions is all well and good
To hover in each punctuated pondering, a tragedy
And so, sometimes
we must go on, without, knowing
Subconsciously remembering the importance
of the queries, but leaving no outward evidence showing
Leading us to wonder why each question was ever asked
to begin with.
