Bourgeois _ bOOr-zhwä' is what you are
You have no concern unless it suits your cause.

You vote like you’re mad. Sick I mean really sick in the head.
Voting for candidates who represent only your views
The rest of society be dead

You have a good income.
Gained by stepping on others
Taking resources that were not yours

Your ancestors participated in slavery.
I know all those making today your ancestors did of course.

You have no class, it’s all pretend. Drinking martini’s two olives dry you call
Social etiquette like a praying mantis. Biting off heads when you’re done.

Living in a neighborhood with street lights
Is something common to you?
Having police protection, they are never rude to you

Your property value increases for you in a in a market that tanks.
You believe you’re respectable but your attitude and demeanor stinks.

You are Bourgeois

You push us into the background
Steaming ahead with your industrial and economic plans

Selling off all hope of future income to the low and common man
Modern industry plowing forward
Leaving many behind its course
You call those who don’t have technology a Third World I heard your voice

Offering mind numbing substitutes that distract from our course
Give them movies, video games instead of jobs
Let them eat dirt or something worse

Customer service... Hello India
Speak my language it is English see

In LA they teach basic subjects (math, history, science, etc.) in Ebonics to help the kids
Tell me is this something we should stand for?
Lowering the criteria, stop patronizing our black kids
Give up that draining gig

You are so right. Incourage the children to read. Write and particpate in essay writing. There is web site www.fastweb.com

Anyone, children from grade seven to adult can write essays and qualify to win scholarship money.

It is a well known fact. That those who are able to read have an advantage.

This concept continues today in the job market. People are judged in the employment field by their vocabulary skills.

I worked for a boss who would not promote a co-worker of mine after he asked me who in the group. I would recommend to take my place when I transferred out of his department. I had spent over a year working with this guy. Understood him clearly and knew he would keep production levels high for the department. He was better qualified over ten more guys.

He actually commented that he didn't want to give the job to a Asian fellow I recommended. Because the guy's English wasn't " perfect ".

There is a direct correlation between literacy and job placement.

One of the reasons slaves were not permitted to read is because of a created perception. That those who are literate have an advantage.

Today the perception exist and wouldn't matter because Caucasians have the complexion that offers them the privilege and protection.

Got that line from comedian Paul Mooney:geek:
