Has anyone ever had one? OH! Please believe me, its off the hook.

If you are in or will be in the DC area, go to Senbeb Cafe and order one with a side of soup or fries.

    You'll be hooked

    Well, I do love Avocados!

So, give up a RECIPE, Sistah! :court:

    I can't get to DC!

    *smile*

Now, interestingly, I don't particular care for Guacamole but I do like Avocados in salads. :10500:

I don't know how they make their sandwich, but I use whole grain bread, lettuce, tomato, onions, veganaise and avacodo. Sometimes I add mild banana peppers to spice it up, then a side of lentil soup

    Veganaise is the bomb!

This is the brand they sell at Senbeb/Sistrum

Hmmm...That pic looked like too much avocado....and "club"-like, to boot, with that middle piece of bread..... But I think that's the general idea for the sandwich.

Personally, I like KmtSista's recipe, but, it's a sandwich. So, anybody can "tweak" it as they like it.

Actually, this sandwich is just a variation on other "meatless" sandwiches....like tomato sandwiches. Some people just like mayo on it....Some also put cheese and onion on it....sometimes, bell pepper or hot peppers.

Same thing with this one, except the main ingredient here is avocado.

Some people like banana sandwiches....even pineapple.

    peace

I'm trying to get into avacado, usually only eat it within my sushi and drown it with Wasabi. My thing is more towards eggplant....I couldn't stand it as a child, but now i can't get enough of it.

If one is trying to go meatless, it is a great substitute.

I seen a pic with tomatoes. I'd eat that with tomatoes.

I am not a vegetarian so I'd eat it like a BLT but with Avocados. BLTA lol.

Avocodo is kind of an acquired taste. I grew up eating it cause that's what my Grandparents ate. We're Carribean.

I eat avocado with salt though. Not sure who I got that from.
