Slippin' and Sliddin' in my Sunday shoes:
after I heard the news;
I was unaware, when I led that prayer
They didnt even care;
God please bless Those Atlanta children,
My god said Peace be still then;
Little did I know, it was what they were after,
Opened my eyes to faces of laughter;
But why, I said, I know Gods heart,
Little did I know, it was only the start;
They put me in a room,
naked and cold, fresh from the womb;
Tears streamin', Kids screamin'
Would they hurt me too?
Next week Im not stayin' with you.
Rollin' through Atlanta, tire blows out,
Here comes the demons, and all that banta'
Aginst all odds, traffic flyin' by,
I just kept walkin' on,
Had no time to yawn,
Finally , here comes the dawn!
