    Late at night
    When souls sleep
And dream of love newly found
    I cry the tears
    Of the unloved
    Tears roll in the night
Because they dry to dust in the sun light
At night the walls are down
And the pride slowly melts away
    At night
My heart is allowed to weep
    In silent solitude
    I shed tears
    For my heart
    For my soul
For all that could have been
Laying broken and shattered at my feet
    At night I cry
    For you
    For me
    For us
The us that could have been
    That will never be
    Late at night
    When souls sleep
    My heart breaks
And I cry the tears of the unloved
