I'm trembling like the leaves of an aspen
flattened by the flutter of humidity of
an aspirated wind ...

remove me from your thoughts and
retract what matters most
from your conscience
because it's killing me

I can not bare to breathe
my heart is to afraid to beat
when I feel that you are
smothering me

dizzy
room spinning
four walls closing in
the rug is being pulled from
beneath the floor I stand upon
and the ceiling is assiduously caving in

Unconscious lover
commits murder
by
stripping away
the very oxygen
that
I need ...

I like you
but please -- just don't suffocate
my feelings
give me some room
to continue to
be me....
