As the day drags on
She's tired as can be.
She's sitting here in class,
With her head down as I see.
She didn't want to come to school,
But she had to anyway.
Her alarm clock woke her up,
And the sun approached the day.
Her mom kept fussing at her
And telling her she was lazy.
She told her she didn't care
And that she must be crazy.
She told her she would be punished,
if she didn't get up that very moment.
So that's why I see her here now,
With her head down and moaning.
She's tired as can be.
She's sitting here in class,
With her head down as I see.
She didn't want to come to school,
But she had to anyway.
Her alarm clock woke her up,
And the sun approached the day.
Her mom kept fussing at her
And telling her she was lazy.
She told her she didn't care
And that she must be crazy.
She told her she would be punished,
if she didn't get up that very moment.
So that's why I see her here now,
With her head down and moaning.
