Prophecy is more than an inspired revelation
It is a life full of neverending servitude and dedication
Speaking only the anointed words placed upon their lips
Daily withstanding all kinds of slights, insults, and quips
Giving the unadulterated truth and refusing to be bought
Going where ever the battle of good & evil is being fought
Like a voice crying in the wilderness begging to be heard
Refusing to go quietly into the night without the last word
A prophet is on call always and ready for God's perfect use
Understanding that sometimes their calling comes with abuse
Abuse from those who can't comprehend their appointed course
For they are a peculiar people chosen for a particular purpose
In the last days ... Your sons and daughters shall prophesy
And the question is "Are you really ready for a true prophet?"

This is work in progress. Its a poem I am working on for an upcoming Prophet Conference (Not my usual but a friend ask me to see what I could do)

Great Flow

You have a great beginning a great piece for the conference. It’s a winning work in progress here. This may be enough. ( less is better theory )
You did say a lot here that is well known by many that read scripture.

I find being truthful about many things. Gets you insults, quips and isolations. Now throw in moral subject matter and religious truth. You have to face evil, gnashing of teeth, and forked tongue words and remarks.

Those who prophesy ( herald , predict, or understand from times, signs or dreams ) should say to those with whom them are prophesying. What they have to share and deliver and work more to accept and not to forget that they have to accept others short comings, misunderstandings or as they say.. Hating to be preached to. Prophets have delivered the word. John didn’t continue after non believers. He knew he spoke the truth. He remained where he was supposed to be. Speaking of and waiting on Jesus and after he baptized him. He was done.

Of course, spending extra time and effort to help those you talk to understand is necessary. Do not feel guilty, frustrated or intimidated by the insults, quips, shame society tries to bring to those associated with being good. I find a lot of people are curious, don't want to drop their guard or the wall they put up. Less leads to questions and they tend to dismantle the blocks.

Have a great time at your conference.
