I would definitely support and work towards such an effort. I would suggest including the Magic Johnson and Tiger Woods as well. Magic is perhaps the leading black businessman on the west coast and don't forget Kevin Johnson.
The one thing that concerns me is the lack of financial support that black non profits receive from the black community so black philanthropic organizations would need to be included to target specific organizations and programs which need support. I had a friend who used to work for Tyra Banks' foundation (tzone) and was disappointed when it was shut down. We need more programs like that.
