It is both intriguing as well as revealing the originator of this rant neither reveals if he is a black republican party member, nor if Thomas Sowell is one of his mentors/role models...

    I. e., Sowell was or is a black conservative and/or economic theorist...

At least he was or is upfront about his politics etc.

I regret having resposted what might well be on the partisan politics side...

    Nobody's 'perfect'...

    What leaders?
If we had true leaders they would not let things happen as it is happening now.
A leader would do his best to change what is wrong and not afraid to enlist help.
These so called "Leaders" has already sold us out and forgotten about us.
We need change and real leaders.

Do know and understand my motivations too!

First of all, not up to just me to judge any or all of our so called leaders..

Second of all, it has been the lack of activism, since the late seventies, which was and is (whatever their merits etc.), which is why both people with proven track records (as opposed to others with notable followers) get lumped in together, as in by the way of default...

At best, that's an idealized take, now subject to unexpected reality checks/wake up calls/etc., for all of us..

Third and lastly, the backdrop has to do with those who came of age during the last era of nationwide segregation, whereas others did go in a desegregated one...

Both did and do have their illusions/leading to wrongheaded conclusions/etc.

Now all of us have to fess up to what we feel and think about our sometimes lackluster leaders...

Elected officials or not at all...

    FYI
