Pentagon: Army to review controversial ban on twists, other ...
You be the judge.
that is an up date to this post
Are you in the U.S Military and if not then why should it bother you?
Why should it bother you what I post. I think you need to take time away from your computer, take your wife for a walk and relax....ANYONE WHO THINKS THEY KNOW EVERYTHING IS A FOOL.
well, what do you think of it and why? Also, do you know of the military regulations?
It bothers you and your response to my spotting it is priceless.
I will speak of the racism of my time in the Army. When I was a combat engineer after 6 months at Bragg after Desert Storm, there were 10 of us which were candidates for pre ranger school with 5 slots. There were 6 blacks, 1 hispanic, and 3 whites which were clerical personnel attached from headquarters. Due to the lack of spaces allocated, it came down to the scores (pt, firearms qualification, number of jumps, etc). There was 1 of them which were able to keep up with us... the other 2 tested poorly and took the last 2 ranks in the order... somehow the 4th and 5th slots were taken by them instead...
As for the sexism which is in the service... for a long time they were not able to go into combat, they treated them as support... and that is insulting. They deemed them liabilities on the front lines, the same women which took the same swearing in as men, who went through basic and advanced training as us, and had their hairstyles restricted as men regardless of color and texture. They taught them how to fight and then deemed them lessers without a chance to prove their worth... I am glad that changed.
The issue with the article is how it only shown the limitations of one ethnic group and not all the restrictions in its entirety... also the fact that this is only a small percentage of black servicewomen which had issues with it.
But thank you for creating this thread for me to vent
