You need to post the results of the chart. The countries with the highest % who think religion is important and have the lowest iq's are almost totally in Africa. Wow!

Africa's problem is lack of schools and poor infrastructures. This cannot really apply to Africa. Lack of education is very easily replaced by superstition and religion. Lack of education is a big factor here, so we need to look at countries with similar level of educational infrastructures, such as China (100+) and Qatar (78).

Not really but it is a measure of some important attributes linked to intelligence. I'm 130-140, so I have a tendency to defend IQ measurement but sometimes I have to attack the methods as white racists can use it as a claim to superiority. Blacks can have very high IQ such as this little black girl. So there's no doubt that a black society has the potential for a high IQ. My view though is superstitions hinder intellectual progress.

    LOL, this is funny.........

I.Q. and religion have nothing to do with each other.

One is the measurement of one's problem solving abilities which can be raised or lowered depending on the individual and the other is a weapon used to keep it's followers minds docile while the leaders of the latter committ all types of heinous acts in the name of their 'god'. So, in essence the creators of a religion have already done the thinking for the followers and fear is used to keep their minds in check anytime they show signs of coming out of their slumber.

    - Is this why this forum was really created? To talk about religious people behind their backs instead of building on why you consider yourself 'atheist' as well as your own philosophies?

Right. The Christian forum is to the left, sir. The tooth fairies forum to right. Here we are trying to dissect how religiosity affects intelligence (something that is acquired) just like conservatism is linked to low intelligence as well. I don't go to any of those religious fora to press my point, so unless you want to argue as to why religiosity affects intelligence then there's no point in the argument. You still can criticize the data, rationally. Some people have to live in the real world and address real life problems.
