I have often wondered why boys seemed to have an aversion to their mothers remarrying.

I have heard of mothers who are torn between remarrying and having their children ..particularly boys angry at them.

I found out recently that my three sons believe that I should remain a divorced woman.

    • One told me why get married again, another man in your life will cause you stress:thinking:
    • Another one said, I am going to get you hooked up with my dad again.
    • The youngest said, No man will ever be able to live at this house:lol:
Well I just told them politely ...if you all want me to be friends with ya'all JUST KEEP OUT OF MY BUSINESS;) . None of you had an imput in my marrying your dad, so you all will have none in ANY one I marry...they laughed..but I know that deep down they want me to remain without a man. Boys seem to hate the idea that another man and not their father is intimate with their mother....I won't promise them anything, but IF the right man comes along, they can go fly a kite, or bark at the moon, this woman will not be sleeping no more girl sleep..:lol:

What's there to figure out?? They want to protect their mother....and for them no man is ever gonna be good enough for their mother...especially if the dad bounced on mom or treated her wrong.

Now I've never been married or anything, but my daughter always questions when I'm gonna get married....I think she thinks I'm lonely cause she never sees me with a man.

I get what you are saying...I know they think they are protecting me...but I believe I must do something for me...They have their own families, I was there for them...at least they can wish me well.

Of course you are very much entitled to dating whomever you'd like. But just know that whatever man you bring around them and introduce them as the man you are seeing, they are gonna be on him like white on rice...but I'm sure if they see he stays around long and is making you happy they will warm up to him, because at the end of the day the do want to see their mother happy.

dunwiddat ... we have a rule about thread titles being descriptive ... it's required.

I've changed quite a few of your titles, but you're adding more than i can keep up with, so i'm gonna need you to help in this regard please.

When you create threads, please make the titles descriptive, so folk can know (or at least have a clear idea) what the content of the thread is about simply by reading the thread title.

Your help in this area will be greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

My son is very protective of me, but so too is my daughter.

I guess it is a bit different, the way they both present it, with my son being more aggressive i suppose.

Yep ... it's hard for children who have had their mother to their own selves, to share her.

But i'm like you ... they betta move ... get out da way! :)

I want my mom back with my dad, but for now, that's not gonna happen. I pray though. The story btw my mom n her current bf goes back before my dad ever was in the picture (my mom dated him before she married my dad). I don't have an issue with her Bf. He's a good guy n all

    But he's not my dad.
